are truly heart-melting and so adorable. I stamped the images on Baohong
watercolour paper (cold-pressed, 100% cotton) and coloured those using Daniel
Smith watercolours. My idea was to use these images to create an interesting card
that would make a child happy. I decided to make a pop-up scene card following
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCGqyezh_ZA" target="_blank">this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire</a>. If you have been following my work, you may
be aware that I hardly make interactive or pop-up cards. Not that I don’t like
them; infact, I LOVE such cards. My 10
yo and 3 yo daughters are huge admirers of such cards. But such cards take time, especially
when you have to fussy cut each image. Thanks to the coordinating die set, assembling
this card was way quicker and easier than the previously attempted interactive
cards.</p><p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjfO0-8ne1LdLCSuExwMJPHkX9lDFiQBwg7k95N-aMkiBykgpF6qhd3Nhb9oaWJ_4ijf8uBBorCBJzdWLVI-zVVYO4cEI5sgdjCp8SK4duu0o1ci2sAuwQQniPOtf2Pan82invI4zF4BVCR0-Ru2xJLcGpG7ULrq0kTsp4BgQ6xvRAqy8R5lV0CPSbx5A=s1600" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjfO0-8ne1LdLCSuExwMJPHkX9lDFiQBwg7k95N-aMkiBykgpF6qhd3Nhb9oaWJ_4ijf8uBBorCBJzdWLVI-zVVYO4cEI5sgdjCp8SK4duu0o1ci2sAuwQQniPOtf2Pan82invI4zF4BVCR0-Ru2xJLcGpG7ULrq0kTsp4BgQ6xvRAqy8R5lV0CPSbx5A=w400-h400" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Closer view<br /><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br /></p><p><b><span style="font-size: large;">Giveaway:</span></b></p><p>I would be randomly choosing a winner from a collection of commentators on this blog post and my Instagram post (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/eternallygreetful/" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">@eternallygreetful</span></a>) who would be winning a $25.00 Gift Card to <a href="https://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1534114&u=2973681&m=97072" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Colorado Craft Company</span></a>'s store. I started off by a watercoloured wash over an 8 by 3 inch panel of Arches watercolor paper (100 % cotton, cold-pressed) using fall colours from Whitenights watercolour set. After letting it dry, I stamped of the sentiment using Versafine onyx black ink. Mounted the panel on a Sizzix textured pastel card stock in as a base (measuring 8.5 by 3.5 inches). This is one of those easy-to-mass-produce cards.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Card #2:</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoLeqkR1tPD8NY8Gs5Ouo6nz-2eeEuA9dndEGM6cz_RXi-q8uHX1kGG1nVehZ3V4FyeqbarzdX8Jz0SoDN1-WKXp54J5ww1d5JjzzPCvauvNZuISs2EptouwWuL18jVnyWU5ofWYMX5WfA/s1244/gratitude_card_colorado-carft-company_jasleen_kaur.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1244" data-original-width="1197" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoLeqkR1tPD8NY8Gs5Ouo6nz-2eeEuA9dndEGM6cz_RXi-q8uHX1kGG1nVehZ3V4FyeqbarzdX8Jz0SoDN1-WKXp54J5ww1d5JjzzPCvauvNZuISs2EptouwWuL18jVnyWU5ofWYMX5WfA/w616-h640/gratitude_card_colorado-carft-company_jasleen_kaur.jpg" width="616" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The second card features a beautiful sentiment from the same stamp set, which was gold-embossed with Ranger's embossing powder. The tiny acorns were watercoloured using Whitenights Watercolours. The background panel was made by free-hand watercolouring of some leaves and berries to give the card an autumnal feel. If you enjoy free-hand watercolouring like me, you can try any free-hand patterns such as tiny pumpkins, maple leaves, or mushrooms in the background, paired with a nice, meaningful sentiment.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Tag:</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpvOGyXaDXWLpz37ayXIxT-l0CpZtFdVYrouqJ5TlWKMzUwHMeZPdeZqRDhext_7abP7LQydrcWqppKuinP5p4iMvLrQ-wZuO59FgIR29sm-W1_e9pqf2Ududek6NICPFofLhVzf5nuN6F/s1600/gratitude_tag_colorado-carft-company_jasleen_kaur.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpvOGyXaDXWLpz37ayXIxT-l0CpZtFdVYrouqJ5TlWKMzUwHMeZPdeZqRDhext_7abP7LQydrcWqppKuinP5p4iMvLrQ-wZuO59FgIR29sm-W1_e9pqf2Ududek6NICPFofLhVzf5nuN6F/w640-h640/gratitude_tag_colorado-carft-company_jasleen_kaur.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This one was a last-minute plan and I love it when last-minute plans turn out beautiful. :) I had a few tag diecuts in my stash and I decided to put one of those to good use by painting some loose hearts in fall colours and pairing it with a similarly diecut vellum tag with the gold-embossed sentiment over it. They loved the cards I had made previously using their stamps (you can view those HERE and HERE) and it is very generous of them to send me their entire product line of stamps and dies from the September release. I absolutely love their adorable stamps with co-ordinating dies. I'm sharing a few cards I made in the past few days using these. </p><p><b>Card #1:</b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXIQhIVrHsxTx65gEThub_lETyxGr6jdz1q2Wh6L9tuKf4KBPkG_N0AU7aYPjTww4hz6GqbrD6nQfwO_5YxrnHx3FKe0fVRELfJcXwlWNfQy7IcsawhycIkQkZ4as1lFzy6yMhNYgv5Loi/s1080/Watermark_1632057819743.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXIQhIVrHsxTx65gEThub_lETyxGr6jdz1q2Wh6L9tuKf4KBPkG_N0AU7aYPjTww4hz6GqbrD6nQfwO_5YxrnHx3FKe0fVRELfJcXwlWNfQy7IcsawhycIkQkZ4as1lFzy6yMhNYgv5Loi/w640-h640/Watermark_1632057819743.png" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Card #2:</b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2mkP1QOGVQhXq91K2U97z59ElkB3dntY4LnbGCZ3MjpxwvZCIkdkG74Ihxctoyi2cYW3ZabOgbzZ_ireXKulNpDHYZnUkCBcb4LKshHs_x_9Gj8hJqvdeP-P0yHhNUhYXhZ6mj4bafb-l/s2048/Watermark_1631454390654.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1973" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2mkP1QOGVQhXq91K2U97z59ElkB3dntY4LnbGCZ3MjpxwvZCIkdkG74Ihxctoyi2cYW3ZabOgbzZ_ireXKulNpDHYZnUkCBcb4LKshHs_x_9Gj8hJqvdeP-P0yHhNUhYXhZ6mj4bafb-l/w616-h640/Watermark_1631454390654.jpg" width="616" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Card #3:</b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFFpi8m_y0p5A9nhFRWph7ElBOWZ2mHhmxQ1_GrWZQ6x3z9NzgpoEVvI_rYQLXpyi1bA3yra4dAcWw8itB15hIaPQxHRE4G_t6HN045U16CffybyxtJn1K3Ni09vopKDrgRlxZuhy1Qq3P/s1101/Watermark_1631099573127.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1101" data-original-width="1080" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFFpi8m_y0p5A9nhFRWph7ElBOWZ2mHhmxQ1_GrWZQ6x3z9NzgpoEVvI_rYQLXpyi1bA3yra4dAcWw8itB15hIaPQxHRE4G_t6HN045U16CffybyxtJn1K3Ni09vopKDrgRlxZuhy1Qq3P/w628-h640/Watermark_1631099573127.png" width="628" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>Supplies used:</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><br /></b></div><div><br /><br /></div><div><p><br /></p></div><!--LinkDeli Code End-->

Last night, I made a card for participating in <span style="background-color: white; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: center;"> </span><a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/2021-superstar-contest-announcement" style="background-color: white; color: #0071d8; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: center; text-decoration-line: none;">2021 Card Design Superstar Contest</a><span style="background-color: white; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: center;"> hosted by My Favorite Things for the </span><a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/resources/2021-card-design-superstar-clean-simple-genius" target="_blank">Clean and Simple Genius</a> category. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC6EOUvKX8bhJBh222nGZheJ4Li6U7JJ3fSE4ltT6AnwbPPP6LLrwTcBB2Ns38cpA_xyxR9N74OhVI0FveSNMbvGdGafW00UvvtgOzL20Qz9UqKWJZKMPvRcxJreCxdRpQMeS1JL_THb35/s800/MFT_Superstars2021_Header.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="293" data-original-width="800" height="146" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC6EOUvKX8bhJBh222nGZheJ4Li6U7JJ3fSE4ltT6AnwbPPP6LLrwTcBB2Ns38cpA_xyxR9N74OhVI0FveSNMbvGdGafW00UvvtgOzL20Qz9UqKWJZKMPvRcxJreCxdRpQMeS1JL_THb35/w400-h146/MFT_Superstars2021_Header.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj14u60tDproPxjKggA9GIu2DxTm_GpawhIaD1OY3dmDvngO1Sl_JHvkR9vJoQ0q6XhV4Es0yJn6723XELNI76hR8euilu_Bqj05L68JM0o45hrWkBU07_rVHht67bxlj41l-EMc8guSlY0/s1600/Love_makes_better_MFT_jasleen_kaur.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1523" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj14u60tDproPxjKggA9GIu2DxTm_GpawhIaD1OY3dmDvngO1Sl_JHvkR9vJoQ0q6XhV4Es0yJn6723XELNI76hR8euilu_Bqj05L68JM0o45hrWkBU07_rVHht67bxlj41l-EMc8guSlY0/w610-h640/Love_makes_better_MFT_jasleen_kaur.jpeg" width="610" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I started by diecutting a watercolour paper panel using the LOVE die from MFT Die-namics. I stamped those cute pigs from BB Hog Heaven stamp set using Spun sugar distress ink. I did no-line watercolouring using Tim Holtz distess inks (coral pink, spun sugar). Adding a third piggie peeking through the "O" window was a last minute idea, just before taping down the panel over the card base. I love the idea of that cute piggy peeking out ;) After adjusting the panel and taping it down over a 6 by 6 inch card base, I stacked a few "LOVE" diecuts and added those to their respective negative spaces, except "O." Finally, added the sentiment from MFT- Hug in a Mug Stamp set--- I like how the sentiment feels complete-- "Love makes things better" :)</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8UAndAbOLVQX_m3qCjwnfOELMGIxZIRrG0MMdLPCKWc-rw5aiFaTuU-6tOmarO2Wd6RvyDcANBb2PnySVUYQnmCs9zS-_boAjM5oTwl4qJhFd5prVOSMwCqL9lfPMxuCjPWVNHO3SyLjw/s1600/Love_makes_better_MFT_jasleen_kaur_sneak-peek.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8UAndAbOLVQX_m3qCjwnfOELMGIxZIRrG0MMdLPCKWc-rw5aiFaTuU-6tOmarO2Wd6RvyDcANBb2PnySVUYQnmCs9zS-_boAjM5oTwl4qJhFd5prVOSMwCqL9lfPMxuCjPWVNHO3SyLjw/w400-h400/Love_makes_better_MFT_jasleen_kaur_sneak-peek.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Thank you for stopping by. <br /><p><br /></p>Jasleen Kaurhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15749966331682354516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4777562732299283200.post-16604743246460386122021-08-31T19:31:00.001+05:302021-09-01T00:13:51.825+05:30Autumn-themed Slimline Card with MFT<p> Hello friends!</p><p>I've always wanted to try a slimline card but never got around to actually making one, until yesterday. I absolutely love their stamps sets, especially the ones illustrated by Anita Jeram and also the ones from the Big and Bold stamp set series. I am so excited to share that I am joining along in this fortnight’s CASology challenge as a guest designer! In the previous challenge, I was selected as the winner with this card <a href="https://happilyevacrafter.blogspot.com/2020/09/dreaming-about-vacation.html" target="_blank">here</a>. As a result, I was invited to be a guest designer for <a href="http://casology.blogspot.com/">CASology</a> in this week’s challenge.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7rUQy2ccUvC7foZ1YBqrsKtKurT0H7mvDr6WZ7TCxVKcYG8fhboMrlj3Q27RHAKW6BgYcrunMQJNnBuAZ3W2WXT9BdhIcImzIlX6noBByYILs-maBGY_xaiQsU6T1EJbqDm_80-Vyw902/s642/Guest+Designer+Badge.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="242" data-original-width="642" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7rUQy2ccUvC7foZ1YBqrsKtKurT0H7mvDr6WZ7TCxVKcYG8fhboMrlj3Q27RHAKW6BgYcrunMQJNnBuAZ3W2WXT9BdhIcImzIlX6noBByYILs-maBGY_xaiQsU6T1EJbqDm_80-Vyw902/s320/Guest+Designer+Badge.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0dAm9z3Pn9d1HhWEblCwxTe0fCdVXoZ1AniItm1oQtF678PQtPJ2ykzNs-_-cpS4v1cbaUtmfC_8rgnMAOg2CCpAknJfhL4gQVKUCRJaXx-dmgKkBwWHv-M4hcismQ7-jjcjRl-7ZVcCX/s500/Week+376+-+Dry.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0dAm9z3Pn9d1HhWEblCwxTe0fCdVXoZ1AniItm1oQtF678PQtPJ2ykzNs-_-cpS4v1cbaUtmfC_8rgnMAOg2CCpAknJfhL4gQVKUCRJaXx-dmgKkBwWHv-M4hcismQ7-jjcjRl-7ZVcCX/s320/Week+376+-+Dry.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>This week's cue card (Week 376) is DRY. The first thing that came to my mind was to design my card showing some dry leaves as the focal point. After spending some time rootling around my stamps and dies searching for the "right" kind of leaf elements for using on my CAS card, I finally decided to use a couple of leaf dies bunched together as the focal element of my card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjputyKP4eRGrYqqxTdJHZ3C69d6QIIc9iRbVhv_-hyPLmNy29J11BpCLzxh26wwfcN24miLLrB88Q64JGSQvJ-8NiVQysFuC3LbU2MwSNUGYcs9r_firymIbx3XeMQQtdx5DRALJEyIFvm/s2048/harvest_of_blessings_cas_card_sizzix_jasleen-kaur.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjputyKP4eRGrYqqxTdJHZ3C69d6QIIc9iRbVhv_-hyPLmNy29J11BpCLzxh26wwfcN24miLLrB88Q64JGSQvJ-8NiVQysFuC3LbU2MwSNUGYcs9r_firymIbx3XeMQQtdx5DRALJEyIFvm/w400-h400/harvest_of_blessings_cas_card_sizzix_jasleen-kaur.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><span> </span>I started with a folded square card base measuring 6 by 6 inches. I first die-cut the leafy vine from Sizzix Thinlits Elegant Leaf die set (#662603) and decided against adding any colour to it. For the second leaf, I die-cut using Brustro watercolour paper from Sizzix Thinlits Meadow Leaves die set (#661746). I watercoloured it using various warm shades of distress ink such that it resembled a dry, autumnal leaf. <div><br /></div><div><span> </span>I bunched these die cuts together and adhered the bunch over the card base splattered with some black watercolour (using a paint brush) to add interest. I then stamped the sentiment from MFT-Harvest Mouse stamp set and finished off my card using a khaki cord tied up into a small knot and a few enamel dots.<div><br /></div><div><span> </span>I hope this card inspires you to play along this fortnight's challenge at <a href="http://casology.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">CASology blog</a>. I am not sure if kids are allowed, but didn't want to discourage her from making a card. So here's what she made. :)</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSQ1_f_2YZvOsw88r0uch3SfjOd793KKCw7QOr2UQnrtB8WywlfGswSGSzwW7RLbWpubAQ2uvaGySrPSeWDXTSQpDWA-npyHOWiZfs8YGoBJsjHMP4d6FbOQp4sAeBM3q7Xi4fsI_tIdkN/s2048/harvest_mouse_card_jasnoor_mft_stamps.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSQ1_f_2YZvOsw88r0uch3SfjOd793KKCw7QOr2UQnrtB8WywlfGswSGSzwW7RLbWpubAQ2uvaGySrPSeWDXTSQpDWA-npyHOWiZfs8YGoBJsjHMP4d6FbOQp4sAeBM3q7Xi4fsI_tIdkN/w640-h640/harvest_mouse_card_jasnoor_mft_stamps.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>She stamped the images from MFT- Harvest Mouse stamp set and coloured these using Zig brush pens.</p><p>I hope you will spare some time to leave an encouraging comment for Jasnoor. Yeah, card making does that trick for me ;)</p><p>I made this holiday-themed card to paly along a couple of my favorite challenges using dies from <a href="sizzix.co.uk" target="_blank">Sizzix</a>.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh6oQ2qosrZbCX9v9m5Qva3WCD7jgZuIFcxgO0-Dgyr2OhRlpeaCbVtB0mMrTPRQHRL4xWkFYBKLdQiGo0GqmKMaPXYLBMZrJ5SCemQOEbT1WsuVxD9cvGchFh-WQf3DwrB-R9fM_OX-2B/s2048/holiday_card_sizzix_jasleen_kaur.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1620" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh6oQ2qosrZbCX9v9m5Qva3WCD7jgZuIFcxgO0-Dgyr2OhRlpeaCbVtB0mMrTPRQHRL4xWkFYBKLdQiGo0GqmKMaPXYLBMZrJ5SCemQOEbT1WsuVxD9cvGchFh-WQf3DwrB-R9fM_OX-2B/w506-h640/holiday_card_sizzix_jasleen_kaur.jpg" width="506" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I started by masking the upper third area of my card base and sponging distress inks to create a night sky. The white splatters were added using white acrylic paint and a brush. For making that curvy landscape panel edge, I used Sizzix Thinlits Die- Build a Landscape (#662839). Those cute little tress are from the same die set. I like the simplicity of those trees. Perfect for CAS cards!</p><p>The car is from Sizzix Thinlits die set-- Summertime (#662547). The die cuts were sponged using distress inks too.</p><p>The sentiment from MFT was aligned on the stamping tool such that it aligns along the edge. After stamping the sentiment, I still felt that something was missing. Therefore, I stamped that curvy line along with the tiny heart form Neat and Tangled stamp set (Thank you, Pooja for gifting this to me) to add interest.</p><p>I hope you like the card.</p><p>Linking this up with the following challenges:</p><p><a href="https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2020/09/cas-game-174-up-to-one-third-optional.html" target="_blank">AAA Card Challenge-- CAS Game #174 - Up To One Third + optional twist Woodland Animals</a><br /></p><p><a href="http://casology.blogspot.com/2020/09/week-374-vacation.html" target="_blank">CASology Week 374: VACATION</a><br /></p><p><a href="http://unikostudio.blogspot.com/2020/09/uniko-challenge-61-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Uniko Challenge #61 - Anything Goes + optional twist Thanks</a><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMiPl7ga1FPFyQGPKj4J7iZdi4opypKPU_bKJIGZ1PekI-WiPI9SXqp9dEcnu0hFM34TjxWE8rojGl6RVHwzLStYur8BHWWwj3DiE9d6oI4PmuUDkulSe6eochp6dUauT5qwyZZeHIkWSG/s320/%2523174.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="320" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMiPl7ga1FPFyQGPKj4J7iZdi4opypKPU_bKJIGZ1PekI-WiPI9SXqp9dEcnu0hFM34TjxWE8rojGl6RVHwzLStYur8BHWWwj3DiE9d6oI4PmuUDkulSe6eochp6dUauT5qwyZZeHIkWSG/w320-h320/%2523174.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><img border="0" data-original-height="256" data-original-width="256" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EfNPH_fs71c/X05KH5zX9NI/AAAAAAAASkU/GyC6vBhB6GI6o-TXvqPa3azct19xNlfegCNcBGAsYHQ/w256-h256/Week%2B374%2B-%2BVacation.jpg" /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJj6-aWQgjw_zD4sEtqlYys79gYxG7d7w968YO7igWMtrlbQW4vxJv5qO9dmJ5BSnT2CoftMQhFkQfgFFJOYcJF6naH_E8JVHWZf3rL4fMEYLTdk9aIJe6ilDwYiwr6F4g6_EX4HfRbznZ/s320/5+Sept.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJj6-aWQgjw_zD4sEtqlYys79gYxG7d7w968YO7igWMtrlbQW4vxJv5qO9dmJ5BSnT2CoftMQhFkQfgFFJOYcJF6naH_E8JVHWZf3rL4fMEYLTdk9aIJe6ilDwYiwr6F4g6_EX4HfRbznZ/s320/5+Sept.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Thanks for stopping by! Hello friends!<br />
<br />
How are you all doing?<br />
<br />
I'm so happy to be guest designing for the <a href="https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2020/04/cas-game-164-one-image-optional-twist.html" target="_blank">AAA Card Challenge #164</a>, where the challenge is to use One Image with an optional twist of using inspiration from TV. I love their challenge themes and try to play along as and when time permits.<br />
<br />
Here's what I made:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-5Jw95PZQQtRUDBY2hfPb0p1OoRhnWM0Ppla8QnCENLw7npLSIaPyy26i7DHPL5mOZa8kppHLRWMkHPguPMpcn-oZYXhup-dQgycAVgKJhzGYevrgwonksoh6YJY3RhY61AR_QD116ysE/s1600/dog_friend_card_janes_doodles_stamps.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1132" data-original-width="1132" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-5Jw95PZQQtRUDBY2hfPb0p1OoRhnWM0Ppla8QnCENLw7npLSIaPyy26i7DHPL5mOZa8kppHLRWMkHPguPMpcn-oZYXhup-dQgycAVgKJhzGYevrgwonksoh6YJY3RhY61AR_QD116ysE/s640/dog_friend_card_janes_doodles_stamps.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This cute dog is from Jane's Doodles stamp set--Rain or Shine. I tried coloring this dog in such a way that it resembles the one from the 1990's American TV series, called "Wishbone," which also featured a cute dog. I thoroughly enjoying making this card as it brought back fond memories of growing up in the 90's. ;)<br />

Hope you like my interpretation of the challenge theme and find time to play along. Please hop over to the <a href="https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2020/04/cas-game-164-one-image-optional-twist.html" target="_blank">AAA Challenge blog</a> for more inspiration from the talented design team.<br />
<br />
I hope you are keeping safe in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. Are you finding ample time to craft these days? As for me, I have never been busier at the home front! But I have no complaints for I have everything I need during this challenging time. I understand that the pandemic brings unique challenges for different people and I'm praying for those whom this crisis has hit really hard.<br />
<br />
Stay safe, seek help if needed and craft your worries away!<br />
Love,<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Hello dear friends!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The card I'm going to share today was made for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/552113582068978/" target="_blank">February Workout Weekend Challenge</a> hosted by <a href="https://purplejetlovescrafts.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jane Taylor</a>. This interesting challenge required us to create our card only using a 1 by 1 inch square on our cards. Well, I had to participate; it screamed CAS! ;)</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">May we always remind ourselves that we have enough, we do enough, and we are enough. The card I have made for today's hop is based on this simple awareness.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">For making this card, the floral stamp from Concord & 9th- You are enough, was stamped using a very lightly shaded distress ink (spun sugar) and was watercoloured using distress inks (Festive berries, barn door, scattered straw, etc.) The peach-coloured textured paper is from <a href="http://sizzix.co.uk/" target="_blank">Sizzix</a> (#663007). For no-line watercolouring, I followed <a href="https://reusingwithquilling.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Pooja</a>'s colouring technique she shared on her recent video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4OFLDtOx4JrdPuCzgeRQZQ" target="_blank">here</a>. I love her gorgeous watercolouring.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Further, we are delighted to have few of our sponsors as the Guest Designers for the Blog Hop. Not only have they generously sponsored our event, they have also created a project for inspiring everyone of us. Thank you so much, our dear sponsors.</span><br />

Hello friends!<br />
<br />
I'm sharing a card that I made using the die from Impression Obsession- Birds Songbird branch. I had won this beautiful die in one of the card making challenges long ago, but I only got a chance to use it now.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV7WQj34mnXzn_nFnqs3DdkvtD4IR1n7jIqVd-Kqtkyo9PLX6dN0B9Chog00AHlUuMZneHTk1VXZFfmyOYkPpvLhTB2ChaY4jUCozA4yzJUZ-tM96YTcCvSpcIzjfWVT-cTbBTREEIscoY/s1600/card_with_two_birds_on_a_branch_jasleen2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1386" data-original-width="1600" height="554" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV7WQj34mnXzn_nFnqs3DdkvtD4IR1n7jIqVd-Kqtkyo9PLX6dN0B9Chog00AHlUuMZneHTk1VXZFfmyOYkPpvLhTB2ChaY4jUCozA4yzJUZ-tM96YTcCvSpcIzjfWVT-cTbBTREEIscoY/s640/card_with_two_birds_on_a_branch_jasleen2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I started by sponging the corner of a card panel using distress inks (tumbled glass and salty ocean) and splattering a few drops of water over the sponged area for some texture. Next, I die cut the branch with the birds multiple times--once using the black card stock and the remaining using a white card stock. I then carefully cut out the birds from the white die cut and adhered these birds over the black die cut after ensuring that the birds are suitably positioned. The birds were sponged using the Fired Brick distress ink. I decided to complete this little scene by adding a "Sun" and a "cloud" to it, both of which are the die cuts created with Sizzix dies. Sentiment is from Your Next Stamp stamp set- Snow Wonderful.<br />

I tried some no-line watercolouring this weekend. I follow the work of a few crafters who are excellent with this technique (Pooja from <a href="http://reusingwithquilling.blogspot.com/?m=1" target="_blank">Reusing, cards and quilling</a>; Debby Hughes from <a href="https://limedoodledesign.com/" target="_blank">Limedoodle designs</a>, Kristina Werner from <a href="http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/" target="_blank">K Werner design</a>, just to name a few) and have been wanting to try this technique myself.<br />
Here's the card I made:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuG2EMI3kA-PWQO_WGuk-78KbPLr51b117CFGaJO-zXrb1s8aBWRBundmP43ZLXp76daqW_3Zcoj8JTFeI7_gJkNVSgN8senM-PQEBYcAmZSY88lW72sHF-YuZXMZju0GkV2fbPmsuU3FF/s1600/noline_watercoloring_mft_jasleen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1525" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuG2EMI3kA-PWQO_WGuk-78KbPLr51b117CFGaJO-zXrb1s8aBWRBundmP43ZLXp76daqW_3Zcoj8JTFeI7_gJkNVSgN8senM-PQEBYcAmZSY88lW72sHF-YuZXMZju0GkV2fbPmsuU3FF/s640/noline_watercoloring_mft_jasleen.jpg" width="609" /></a></div>
<br />
I admit, it look me quite a long time to colour this small image; definitely not easy and requires practice.<br />
<br />
To start with, I stamped the image from MFT-Santa's elves, on a cold-pressed watercolour paper using Antique linen distress ink and coloured the image using distress inks. I heat embossed the 'stars' from the same stamp set using clear embossing powder, limiting the stamping to the upper one-third portion of the card panel. Next, I sponged some distress inks (tumbled glass, salty ocean, faded jeans, black soot) over the upper one-third part of the card panel to create a 'starry sky' effect.<br />
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, which was heat embossed using clear embossing powder after stamping with Versafine onyx black ink. I mounted this card panel along with the pastel yellow textured card panel, used for the matting, over a 5 by 7 inches card base. Those enamel drops were added in the end to add some interest.<br />
<br />
Would love to know what you think about this one! Thanks for stopping by.<br />

I got my distress inks out after ages, or so it seems. I have always enjoyed making inked backgrounds by sponging distress inks; however, I had overused my sponge-daubers and ink blending foams owing to which they were badly worn out! I got my new ink blending tools from Amazon (Thanks, Ishani, for the recommendation). These work beautifully with Iris cardstock.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now onto my card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkxICWGSb1LdZtCtR_d_4KgLSNEyWI8fLu6QcGeWE8T4swlr60IACE8bOnycq_xRaT9eELHKP6R9c-XfTJ8J4p45zIMU8E3WlOy0-ClmweJHxgvNO39ith2KMFGBV9vuO2kpZ7zKJtFiTA/s1600/holiday_card_mft_jasleen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkxICWGSb1LdZtCtR_d_4KgLSNEyWI8fLu6QcGeWE8T4swlr60IACE8bOnycq_xRaT9eELHKP6R9c-XfTJ8J4p45zIMU8E3WlOy0-ClmweJHxgvNO39ith2KMFGBV9vuO2kpZ7zKJtFiTA/s640/holiday_card_mft_jasleen.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
I sponged the distress inks (fossilized amber, squeezed lemon, spiced marmalade) over the top edge of a 5 by 7 card base. Next, I sprinkled some water droplets randomly over the sponged area using a paint brush and I dabbed over these drops lightly using a tissue paper; this step lifts some water off the sponged area, giving a beautiful texture. Because I wanted to add some shimmer, I sprinkled some silver paint from the Gansai Tambi watercolour paint set. The effect looks beautiful in real.</div>
<div>
Next, I added a strip of black coloured card stock with a heat embossed sentiment, on the card base using double-sided foam tape. I stamped the Elf image on a piece of Iris card stock, fussy cut, and adhered it over the sentiment strip, using double-sided foam tape. I decided to leave it uncoloured, mainly for two reasons: 1) I liked the effect of black-and-white image against a vibrant background and 2) I was running out of time and had to finish making this card quickly ;)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What do you think? Yay or nay?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a great Sunday, folks!<br />

Hey there!<br />
<br />
Sharing a clean and simple (CAS) Christmas card today. Although I enjoy trying out new techniques and interesting card designs, it feels satisfying to keep things CAS.<br />

That cute little tree die cut is from the newly released Chapter 4 dies from <a href="http://sizzix.co.uk/" target="_blank">Sizzix</a>. The sentiment is from My Favorite Stamps-Santa's elves. I love how simple and tiny that font is; perfect for a CAS card! The tiny heart die cut is again from Sizzix.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Th started by smudging the centre of the card with Gansai Tambi Gold paint. The little tree got its sparkle from the Papericious frosting powder (by Rajni Chawla ma'am. Thank you for this gift, ma'am). </div>

A few days ago, I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire where she shared a very interesting card design technique- Bridge cards. I LOVED how beautifully and simply she explained the technique. I tried making a similar card using my new dies and stamps from <a href="http://sizzix.co.uk/" target="_blank">Sizzix</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfq5gsnsxkZ4c-N-2n-t3IzzQIhJUiDq5VXh8Ed9jhfKJlc9V3rcVuqmycOnRfQdVhnAjg-NPZv_7VLJAJbIZwIVkIiN3jtG8ixa1lteFcfdGSCz7KmbbEuLjBHlXXu7SYuccR9twF3qSS/s1600/IMG_20191201_164620-01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1525" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfq5gsnsxkZ4c-N-2n-t3IzzQIhJUiDq5VXh8Ed9jhfKJlc9V3rcVuqmycOnRfQdVhnAjg-NPZv_7VLJAJbIZwIVkIiN3jtG8ixa1lteFcfdGSCz7KmbbEuLjBHlXXu7SYuccR9twF3qSS/s640/IMG_20191201_164620-01.jpeg" width="609" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The background was sponged using distress inks to mimic the soft winter sky. The stamped and die cut images were colored with Zig marker pens.<br />
<div>
The most interesting thing about this kind of card is that although it looks dimensional, it easily slides inside an envelope, which makes it easily mail-able! As soon as the recipient removes the card from its envelope, it pops open to its dimensional form. It also makes a cute keepsake adorning a side table, as it can stand on its own.<br />

Hello, hello my dear blogger friends!<br />
<br />
How have y'all been?<br />
<br />
I've been MIA from the blogland since several months; I'm still learning how to find that (elusive) balance between managing my new job (that I joined in March this year), home and children. Experienced ladies, I could use some time-management tips from you ;)<br />
<br />
I managed to make a couple of cards last weekend! Yayy for that! ;)<br />
<br />
I'm sharing one of those cards in my post today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMiBuyEaJPC50ynUAaIV4Oj_jd1CzqlF35Almu865Eoly76i9mnI1hA20TuGwWp2px2DpqQmX2RyHCw7SRD1b73lEPI69jiCclmLkfw6_mUhyphenhyphensN6OOlMoghshAqGLMMoyKpaAlqf9ScAFR/s1600/IMG_20191201_194821_417.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1378" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMiBuyEaJPC50ynUAaIV4Oj_jd1CzqlF35Almu865Eoly76i9mnI1hA20TuGwWp2px2DpqQmX2RyHCw7SRD1b73lEPI69jiCclmLkfw6_mUhyphenhyphensN6OOlMoghshAqGLMMoyKpaAlqf9ScAFR/s640/IMG_20191201_194821_417.jpg" width="548" /></a></div>
<br />
The cutie image is from Your Next stamp-Sprinkles-Coffee and Tea and the sentiment is from My Favorite Stamps-Hug in a mug.<br />
I started by slightly sponging the center of a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches card front with distress ink (ground espresso). Next, I stamped a few snowflakes from the aforementioned MFT stamp set, using Memento ink (summer sky) for stamping. The main image was colored using Zig brush pens and it was adhered to the sponged area using double-sided foam tape. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and finished off my card with some color-coordinated sequins.<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Recently, I received my box from <a href="http://sizzix.co.uk/" target="_blank">Sizzix</a> containing the dies from Chapter 4 release. Exactly what I needed to get my almost-vanished mojo back after almost 5 months.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I decided to use the <a href="https://www.sizzix.co.uk/662599/sizzix-thinlits-die-scattered-hearts" target="_blank">Sizzix thinlits Scattered hearts die(#662599) </a>to make one card but I actually ended up making two ! I realized that the best way to get the creative juices flowing again are simply to start something. Anything. Even if we don't have a plan in mind. You wouldn't realize when ideas start coming in. I sat with a blank mind and just had the die and the coloured cardstock in front of me on the table. And during the process of making, I was getting more ideas that I could've used for making 3 more cards if only I had more time in my hands.But I had to stop at two.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hello everyone!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">It's been really really long since I posted on this blog. My last post was on 14th of February 2018 and well, life has been quite busy in the past few months. And there's a good reason for that. Many of my craft and blogger friends might already be aware of the news but I wanted to share this with my blogger family that I recently became a mother to our second child, a sweet little baby girl, Hargun. We welcomed this new addition to our family on 7th of July this year and we're completely heads over heels in love with this new bundle of joy, who's four and a half months old now. My elder daughter Jasnoor is delighted to have a little sister. I'm sharing a few pictures with you all.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Although my life at present is chaotic, challenging and busy with two of my active little monkeys, I feel extremely blessed and privileged to be their mother.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I try to find time to craft and at times I manage to make a decent card, somehow, I do not find time to share my cards here. Hopefully, I'll get back to regular crafting and blogging in a few days. I miss taking part in the challenges but most of all, I miss visiting the blogs and interacting with my blogger friends. How are you all doing and what are you up to? I would love to hear from you :)</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hugs !</span><br />
