Best Wishes

Hi friends,
A quick post here sharing a card inspired by a few challenges.

Here's my card:

I stamped the butterflies using one of the stamps from the Fiskars-butterfy magic stamp set. Then after fussy cutting it, stamped with Kaisercraft texture stamp-chevron on the other side(the plain side) of the fussy cut images. The smaller butteflies are also from the same set and are stamped directly onto the card base. Made the envelope using a vellum-like paper and put some colourful seqins inside. The 'leaping out' or 'popping out' of the butterflies is shown by masking and inking using memento and distress inks. Finally, stamped the sentiment using memento tuxedo black ink.

Anniversary Cake Card

Hello friends,
A very happy Valentine's day to all of you who celebrate :) Stay blessed!
Today I'm sharing an Anniversary card inspired by a few challenges. Here are the pics:

There's a very interesting challenge going on at Beyond Grey Challenges-Sweet tooth where we are supposed to enter a card showing some form of sweet dessert on it and follow the given colour pallette too!!. I thought of making a wedding cake with some quilled roses on it to show some icing. :) Enjoyed quilling these roses.I have used all the colours from this pallette, except the last one.

Since it's an Anniversary card, I wanted to enter it into Lulupu Challenge#25-Oh-so-lovely. but the only hitch was that we're supposed to use some patterned papers for this challenge and I couldn't figure out how I would get a PP fit into my creation. Thankfully, I found this beautiful Kraft coloured PP from my stash that I thought would look elegant if I placed it in the bg.
Finally, added some pearls to the cake and a hand-written sentiment.

There's another interesting challenge going on I recently came to know about and the inspiration picture really appealed to me to play along. The yummy-looking colours of the dessert inspired me.
Here's the link if you want to play along:

Hope you liked my attempts. Would love to hear what you think about it :)

Have a lovely day! :)

Card in the Box

Heyy Friends,
Hope you all are doing great. Today I'm sharing a Valentine themed 3D card- Card in a box to be appropriate and have used pink, white and red as the main colours. Why it's called 'card in a box', you'll know soon. Let me warn you that it's going to be a PICTURE HEAVY POST. Here are the pictures:

Card in a box

View from the left
The moment you see it opened, it looks like a box full of colourful wishes and goodies :) So technically,it's a box shaped card :)

Tried heat embossing for the first time with this butterfly.

Lying flat on closing up

The beauty of this card is that it can be easily folded flat and can be inserted into an envelope, and that makes it really apt for a hassle-free posting :)

There are many tutorials available on the internet for making it. But the one that really inspired me is this amazing video by My Stampin' Haven.

As Fresh as February

Hello Everyone!
How have you all been? Sorry for not posting anything new and stopping by your blogs since past few days as I've been travelling and keeping busy with family. I love the month of February for many reasons-the pleasant weather with freshness in the breeze, pinks and reds all around and last but not the least it's my wedding month ;) Sharing a Valentine's day card inspired by a few challenges. We can see so many beautiful lovely love cards being posted these days, some like it cute, some like it mushy, I like it funny ..lol. Here take a look:

Talk about being subtle..lol :P .. Well, I have tried to incorporate some humour through this pin-up love note styled card. Well, humour is subjective so you may get it or you my not :) I love this card because I think it's something that'll bring a smile on my hubby's face. After almost 4 years of marriage, one thing I have learnt is that men don't get subtle hints, you just have to ASK what you want.. :P As simple as that..lol

For making it, I stamped the base with Kaisercraft texture stamp and added some splatters of acrylic paint to give a texture. Then roughly teared up a small piece of paper from a notebook, inked the edges, wrote the sentiment and added a bouquet of quilled roses. That was all about my simple and quick love-note card.

How do you like it? Did you find it funny or not? As much as I welcome positive comments, I'm equally open to negative ones too. I think they help me grow better :) So please be free with your comments.

Have a 'Love'ly day!!
