Believe

Hello friends!

The inspiration picture at this fortnight's Runway Inspired Challenge#76 gave me an excuse for another card with a sponged distress ink scenery. As if I need one :) , because I really enjoy playing with my inks. You can view a few of my previously made scenery cards here and here.

Also linking it to Addicted to stamps and more- Holiday ( Because the scenery created looks like a nice holiday destination to me )

Over to my card:

And the outfit it got inspired from:

The outfit shows patches of colourful scenery over a black background. I sponged an imaginary scene using both distress and memento inks.
The tree was hand drawn and the corn grass was stamped.
The sentiment (Heidi Swapp) is heat embossed.  Added a few drops of glossy accents next to the sentiment to add interest.

The dimensions of this card are 6 inches by 3 inches.

Hope you liked it ! Thanks for visiting !

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz distress inks--- tumbled glass, salty ocean, mowed lawn, spiced marmalade, barn door.
Memento dew drop inks --- Dandelion, angel pink, rose bud.
Inkadinkado meadow stamp set
versamark ink
Ranger's heat embossing powder.
Ranger's glossy accents

You're Bowtiful

Hello Friends !

Feels great to be back to my blog after quite a long time. Well, do you remember the last time I shared a CAS card here? I'm sure you don't, because it was last year!! :P Well, technically speaking, this is my second post for this year, the first one was actually a scheduled post( my DT post for Indian Quilling Challenge), and the reason for my guest appearances to my own blog being the same old usual stuff all of us get caught up with ...lol...;) (yeah, ...home, kid, job, travel, health issues....etc.)

Although I do keep myself updated about the activities in the blogland like what my friends are upto, what challenges are going on, I really wish God gave me 48 hours a day so that I do not miss playing along any of my favorite challenges. :P Alas !!

But anyway, I did manage to squeeze in some time to make a card for this month's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-135--- Felt and Sequins.  ,  Addicted to stamps and more- Make your mark , CAS on Sunday- Stencil it and lovely Darnell's NBUS Challenge-3( NBUS is the Felt fabric I have used here)

Here's my card:

Does it look like the three bands of those happy colours have been tied together to form that bow? Well, I hope it does because that was the whole idea of this card. ;)

I have never used felt before in any of my projects and the idea of making CAS card out of it really appealed to me.

That bow is handmade out of three different colours of felt (you can find the tutorial for the bow here) and the colourful bands are made by masking and sponging (handmade stencil+memento dew drop inks).

Added the sequins and finally the sentiment( from Waffle Flowers Bowtiful set).

Hope you liked it. :)
Thanks for visiting.

Indian Quilling Challenge-12--Anything goes with 'Thank You'

Hello dear friends,

Wishing you all a very happy and a prosperous new year.

This is my first post of 2015 and I'm very excited to share that I'm on the Design Team of Indian Quilling Challenge for 2015. This is a monthly challenge for those who love quilling. It's one of my favorite crafts to indulge in and I'm glad to be associated with it in some way. :)

The theme for January is to create any paper crafting project, with the main sentiment being 'Thank you' and the focus should  primarily be on quilling, ofcourse.

Here's a sneak peek of what I've created for the inspiration:

For the full view and details , please visit Indian Quilling Challenge blog and leave me some love there :) I would really appreciate that.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day! :)
