Indian Quilling Challenge # 13 DT post- Anything goes with hearts

Hello dear friends !

Hope you are enjoying creating some pretty stuff for your dear ones in this season of love. Even if you don't celebrate Valentine's day, I'm sure you couldn't help but relish the infectious love-filled atmosphere all around. Streets are flooded with people buying flowers, cards and chocolates for their loved ones.

And since we are all blessed with creativity and love doing things differently, why not greet them with our own sweet handmade goodness?

So, today I'm sharing a couple of love-themed cards with quilled hearts, which I made as my DT inspiration for this month's Indian Quilling Challenge-- Anything goes with Hearts.

First card:--

Runway inspired challenge#78-DKNY

and Beyond grey challenge- moodboard and stamping( my card has the stamped bicycle with the couple and the hearts from the mood board)

Second card:----

The first one shows heart-shaped balloons while the second one is a shaker card, showing a jar filled with quilled heart-shaped candies. Looks yummy, isn't it?
The hearts are made by sticking together two quilled tear-drop shapes, using 3 mm quilling strips from the red family pack.

1. Lulupu challenge- 46- Love you, Sweets

2. Create Something Catchy challenges- Love Shaker cards

There are so many different ways you can use these hearts in your creations, like, you can make a cute pendant, earrings, decorate a little girls' hairband, make some cute fridge magnets, bookmarks, etc. Possibilities are endless. :)

So, getting any ideas yet? I hope our creations inspire you in some way to create something of your own, if you haven't started yet. Look forward to seeing your lovely creations.

More Love cards

Hi there !

Made a couple of love-themed CAS cards yesterday. Quite a number of 'love' themed challenges going around, so didn't want to miss playing along. ;)

Here are the cards:-

To start with, I gave a water colour wash in a small area of the card stock panel using distress inks. After it dried, I stuck a suitably sized Baker's twine in such a way that it read 'Love'. Then stuck a cute little handmade felt heart on one end of the twine (I made the heart by stitching two felt hearts together and stuffing it with cotton), added a few matching sequins and small pearls.  I thought sticking baker's twine in that fashion using the white glue would be difficult. But I was pleasantly surprised how easy and quick it was. That's why I ended up making a set of two cards :) Cute, eh?

Linking it to :-
1. Cas-ual fridays--- Watercolour love

2. Cas-ology ---- Love

3. Little tangles----- watercolour

4. AAA cards---- Love love love

5. Addicted to CAS----- Hugs and kisses( because hugs and kisses = love)

6. Just add ink#250(my card has a pink felt heart , just as in the picture)

Thanks so much for visiting today and hope you have a 'Love'ly week !! :)

Love-themed Shaker card

Hey everyone !

Today I'm sharing a shaker card inspired by the following challenges:-
1. Virginia's View Challenge-- Shaker Cards
2. Create something Catchy challenges--- Shaker cards
3. Runway inspired challenge- Jenny Packham

Here's the card:-

on the inside

Here's how I made it:
1. Sponged a snow scenery on a white cardstock using distress inks and ink blending tool. Added some splatters using white acrylic paint with a paint brush to depict snowfall.
2. Cut out a suitably sized window from another card stock panel using my craft knife and attached an acetate panel to it.
3. Stamped some snowflake-like design on this panel using versamark ink and heat embossed it using ranger's white powder.
4. Hand drew the penguin couple inspired from an image on Google , coloured it using faber castel water colour pencils and fussy cut it.
5. Assembled some white and pink coloured sequins, stuck the penguins over the card base using foam tape, added the twine, the hand written sentiment tag with the panel and stuck it over the base.
6. Continued the sentiment on the inside of the card as well.

That's all  from my end today. Hope you liked this fun and mushy penguin love card :) waiting to hear your views .

Thanks for stopping by.
