Mixed Media Tag | Sizzix Post

Hello, friends !

Hope you all are doing great. :)

A few days back, I stumbled upon some mixed media canvas artworks while surfing the internet and felt so inspired to try my hands at mixed media. If you have been regularly following my work, you must be aware that I'm more of a CAS crafter and although I follow the work of many mixed media artists and feel awed by their talent, I somehow always felt a little intimidated to try it myself. But, this time I challenged myself to try it and see how it goes. I really enjoyed making it.

Here's a little sneak peek:

I used Sizzix Framelits -Tag collection by Tim Holtz for making this one.

April Make-off Challenge -

Do you know, there's a make-off challenge at Sizzix every month where two of the design team members showcase their work using a same die-set. There's an open voting system on the Sizzix Facebook page and the one with maximum number of votes is the winner designer of that month. So, this month we have our very own Deepti Stephens competing with Emeline from Singapore. You can view their work and find other details for voting HERE. :)

That's all from my end today.

Heartfelt Thanks

Hi friends !

In my previous post, I shared a sneak peek of my card I made for the Sizzix blog . Today, I'm sharing the full-view of that card (some of you may have already seen it there) so that I can link it up to a few on -going challenges in the blogland.

Linking it to the following challenges :

You Make Me Smile

Hello, dear friends !

I made a card yesterday using Jane's Doodles stamp set- Double Trouble. I  love these stamps. They are just too cute. :)

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado stamp set-Kids Quotes, another favorite sentiment stamp set of mine. I think this sentiment totally complements the cute girl-boy images, don't you think? :)

I stamped the sentiment in Archival black ink, and to make it more prominent, I clear embossed it with Zing Clear EP. Those images were stamped over a watercolour paper and coloured using Faber Castell connector pens .

I wanted the card to have a fun element so I just adhered the images behind the 'window' panel so that they appear to be peeking through .

I really enjoyed making this one, it's exactly the kind of card I like- cute, fun,CAS and with a lot of white space ;)

Does this card make you smile all over the face?
