Blog Anniversary Celebration Event -2 | Challenge-- Friendship Cards

Hey Friends !!

Welcome to the second event of my month-long Blog anniversary celebrations. For those who are new, I'm happy to share that my blog completed three years this month as well as it has reached the 100-follower mark. So, I'm celebrating this occasion by hosting a giveaway and a few contests and challenges.

I announced my first blog celebration event-Blog Giveaway a couple of days ago. You can read the post and participate HERE.

Blogging and crafting community is extremely warm and helpful. My blogging journey has introduced me to some of the most supportive and helpful folks, who have generously offered their guidance whenever I needed or asked. So, this event is about celebrating the kindness and friendship that we all have been giving and receiving in this crafting community.

Today I'm announcing a challenge and the theme for this challenge is 'Friendship'.

Rules for this Challenge :-

1. Make a friendship-themed card, the style could be anything-CAS, shabby chic, vintage, etc., whichever style you are comfortable with,  but remember, cards only please.

2. Tell us in your blog post , what is that card making technique that you really wish to try or is on your crafty 'to-do' list since long, could be anything, like- Water colouring, quilling, some stamping technique, a new background technique, a particular fold, just about anything you always wanted to do or wish to get better at. Challenge yourself to do it now and show it on your card here.

3. Only one entry per person please. You can link your card to any number of other challenges as well.

4. Please link to that particular card post, and not to the entire blog or gallery.

 5. Please display the challenge image in your blog post and provide a link back to my challenge in your post so that your readers can find the challenge and play along too.

The Prize :-

Amongst the entires linked below as well as received through email, I'll be choosing one winner RANDOMLY .

And the prize for this challenge has been sponsored by a very popular hub for the online craft classes- Craftsy (Website-- www.craftsy.com)

A Little about Craftsy :-

Craftsy was founded in the spring of 2010 by four tech guys who wanted to create a new high-quality approach to online learning, and it launched in May of 2011. Our founders hoped to create a convenient education platform that captured the magic of a live classroom, including interaction with an expert instructor and fellow students.
Craftsy offers a whole lot of classes in paper crafts including card-making, mixed media, quilting, sewing, art, photography, baking, cooking and many more categories, from the best instructors across the globe. The classes provide access to easy-to-follow HD video lessons on computer or mobile phones, anytime, anywhere, forever.

The winner of the challenge will be offered a gift coupon using which she can choose any Craftsy class of her choice from the wide array of categories. :) Isn't that amazing?
Check out all the classes Craftsy offers HERE.
Thank you so much Craftsy, for your generous sponsorship and such a valuable prize.

Here's what I have made to inspire you to play along :-

Friendship Day Card using Mudra Stamp-Dainty Blooms

The floral stamp set is from Mudra-Dainty Blooms and I love how delicate it looks. It's one of my favorite stamp sets from Mudra. I water coloured those images (a technique that's a challenge for me and I so wish to get better at ) with the help of Faber Castell colour pencils. That patterned paper peeking out is from Lawn Fawn-Polka Dots.

I'm linking this card to CASology Challenge#209, where the cue word this week is 'Watercolour'.

Also linking this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Fabulous Florals.

Now, it's your turn to share your friendship-themed cards. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
