CTS-77, RIC-60, STB-Anything goes

Hi There!

Quickly sharing a card inspired by the fabulous sketch by Gayatri at CAS(E) this sketch-77, the gorgeous colours from the inspiration picture at Runway Inspired Challenge- 60---Calla and Seize the Birthday- Anything goes( I have skipped the toppings this time)

My take:

Inspired from:

The RIC inspiration picture dress has a very school-going girly feel to it. So I kept that in mind and tried to make a birthday card that I think would be apt for a school-going girl. I love it that my card has a fun, quirky and soft feel to it.

I tried sticking to the sketch as much as I could and for making those faces, I masked and sponged some distress inks. I usually don't add patterned papers to my CAS cards, and for this one too, it took me a while to decide whether I should pop the panel over that grey PP or directly over that blush card stock. I think it looked better this way. PP is from he Allison kraft design.

Hope you liked it.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me your kind words on my work.

Have a creative day! :)

Hello !

Hope you all are doing good.

Quickly sharing a card today inspired by CASology week 96- FlowerLess is More-172-Flowers and Addicted to CAS-Off the Edge

Here's my take:

Clicked indoors, No daylight---Edited

As you may have noticed, water-colouring is a rage in the blogland at present. And  I didn't mind  giving in to this trend for once, especially if the process is so much fun and the results, beautiful. :) So, yes, I stamped that sunflower and water coloured it using my watercolouring cakes I bought from a local store. The flower stamp is from the Deep Red Clings and the sentiment 'Hello' is from Itsy bitsy clear stamp set.

Hope you like my sweet and simple flowery greeting.

Thanks for visiting me today and have a great day!!

Remembering Sam- Random Musings

Hello dear bloggers.

Today is one of those days which I don't have very fond memories of. I had a pet black labrador retriever-Sam, whom I lost exactly three years back. Miss him still, will always do. Don't have any creation to share today except these few lines that I had scribbled two years back in his fond memories. Well, I'm not a poet or a writer, but I do write when I strongly feel about something or someone. Thought of sharing with my blogger pals. If you are a dog-lover or you have a pet at home, I'm sure you'd be able to relate to this.

REMEMBERING YOU.....
Still remember those wonderful years passed few
when there was sunshine and me and you.

You hopped into my life
With those silent paws,
And filled my life
With laughter and guffaws.

You jumped into my heart
With that wagging gait,
And owned a place,
that none could vacate.

Still remember those wonderful years passed few
When there was darkness and me and you.

You stayed with me
Through my days so rough
And those nights of toil
when I needed to be tough.

Ah! Those loyal eyes, that warm gaze!
They saw us rise, they saw us fall.
They saw us love, they saw us brawl.

Still remember those wonderful years passed few
When there was innocence and me and you.

And that corner still awaits
Where you would rest your head,
And that lawn still awaits
For that playful tread.

Nothing has changed
Still everything seems new
Without my dear companion
Without my faithful you.

Will always remember those wonderful years passed few
Where there are memories of me and you.

And with a heavy heart
I bid a tearful adieu,
Oh! How I wish I was there
In your last moments with you.

How I wish dogs had longer life spans.

Thanks for visiting me today. Have a great day.

Childhood - Scrapbook LO # 2

Hey There.

There's this challenge going on at Beyond Grey Challenges where we are supposed to make a scrapbook LO based on the given sketch. I loved this sketch by Karen and really felt like making a scrapbook LO after quite a long time (I made my first ever scrapbook LO last year. Click  here to view it).

Here's my take:

And here's the sketch I was inspired by:

I love the idea of scrapbooking. Although I'm more into card making, I have spent hours viewing the wonderful scrapbook LOs on pinterest. I swoon at the creative talent out there in scrapbooking and wanted to indulge in it myself, but the only hitch , I didn't know where to start. lol.

But thankfully, when I sat to make this one, one thing lead to another and I just went with the flow.

Handmade flipflops

handmade Tag

Okay, so I wanted to give it a grungy look and making of this one involved some stenciling, some splattering(all with distress inks) , layering with PPs and the doily and finally embellishing. The windmills, the little flip-flops, and the tag are handmade. And I also made a pocket behind the photo using vellum and have added some sequins inside which move freely on shaking. So, yes, you can say it's a Shaker Layout :P

I love this quote :)

Those cute buttons and the paper clip are from the prize package I won at Pretty Paper Studio Challenge and all the lovely PPs that you see are from the  Allison Kraft design webster pages from the prize package I won at Lessology. Yeah, I got an excuse to use these goodies now  ;)

The picture shows my little one playing with the sand on the beach, completely indulged, unaware and blissful. That's what childhood is all about, isn't it ? :D  I have tried to capture this playful essence of childhood  in my LO.

That's all from me for now. Hope you liked it.

Thanks for visiting me today. Have a great day. :)
